Bush Fire Recovery Initiative

Funded by Government Bodies the Bush Fire Recovery Initiative was developed to help repopulate areas affected by the Black Summer Bushfires 2019. The program's aims were to propagate local species and partner with members of the community and community groups who would be able to revegetate their locally affected areas.



The individuals that Drove the Success of this project. Standing amongst the projects seedlings from Left to Right Simon Jacques, Alasdair Tidy, Fern Horne, Lisa Brady, Darren Turrnbull.




The Worst affected areas in Moreton bay were Bribie Island. Sunshine Coast Noosa, Cooroibah and Peregian Springs. Other Areas affected in South East Queensland were Stanthorpe area Toowomba, Ravensbourne, Beechmont, Springbrook, Witheren, Numbinbah Valley, and Scenic Rim, Sarabah Due to Covid the Program had some initial hiccups as Plants were intended to go to Northern NSW areas
